Taiji Sawada (沢田 泰司, Sawada Taiji?, born on July 12, 1966) is a Japanese musician and songwriter. Throughout his professional career usually referred to by his given name only, he is primarily known for his work with the popular rock band X Japan, for which he played bass on its first three albums. He left the group in 1992 and went on to work with several other bands, such as Loudness and Cloud Nine.
